Welcome to BTO Budget Calculator ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using our website at btobudget.vercel.app and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

BTO Budget Calculator is a financial planning tool designed to help Singapore residents estimate costs related to purchasing an HDB Build-To-Order (BTO) flat. The Service includes a free calculator and, for subscribers, additional planning tools including finance splitting, budget tracking, project timelines, and a sell-home calculator.

2. Disclaimer — Not Financial Advice

All calculations, estimates, and information provided by the Service are for illustrative and planning purposes only. They do not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice. Always verify figures with official HDB, CPF, and bank sources before making financial decisions. We are not responsible for any losses or decisions made based on outputs of this Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' data or our systems.
• Submit false, misleading, or abusive content through feedback forms.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit any part of the Service without our written permission.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in Singapore Dollars (SGD) via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal — your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

7. Refunds

We offer a full refund within 7 days of initial payment if you are not satisfied with the Pro subscription. After 7 days, no refunds are provided for the current billing period. Contact us at our feedback page to request a refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, code, and design of this Service is owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

9. User Content

By submitting feedback or forum posts, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use that content within the Service. You retain ownership of your content. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our community standards.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraudulent activity, or at our sole discretion. You may delete your account at any time from your Profile page.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the website. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
